Back in July of 2014, Pastor Oropeza reached out to me via email. He was a drummer for a band called The Caldwell, and at the time I’d never seen them live.

I was so honored to have someone reach out to me, and so I made sure to clear my schedule so that I could head to their show and shoot a few live photos for them. They were an amazing act, and I really enjoyed their sound.

Recently, I realized that I’ve never posted all of the photos that I sent to the band, minus one photo that I shared to my Instagram soon after sending them off to the band. Though they were easy to shoot, I somehow ended up narrowing my favorites down to only seven images, and ended up editing them all in Black & White.

If you know me and my live music work, you know that I love the color and vibrancy that makes each show different. However, The Caldwell’s vibe felt like it needed something a little more classic and serious.
